After Sathyaraj chose to do character roles bidding bye to the cliched lead roles, where he had to run-around trees romancing heroines, more better offers seem to come searching him.
The latest to fall is his kitty in Mani Ratnam's mush-hyped Ponnioyn Selvan, inspired by a historical novel penned by writer Kalki. Sources in the industry say the ace filmmaker has chosen Sathyaraj to do the role of the greatest warrior in the story, Periya Pazhuvettarayar.
Buzz is that since the script demanded a man in middle-aged looks with a well-built physique and little knowledge in martial arts, Mani sir has chosen to go with Sathyaraj. It may be recalled that Sathyaraj had last worked with Mani ratnam in Pagal Nilavu, almost two decades ago.
Sathyaraj had reportedly expressed his delight to be part of ponniyin Selvan. Anything for a Mani Ratnam film!!!!!
