Amala Paul is perhaps one of the few actors who does a lot of charity work and on her last birthday she visited one of the The Pain & Palliative Care Society centres in Kerala and decided to do her little bit for them.
She has signed up to be the voluntary brand ambassador for The Pain & Palliative Care Society and last week attended the launch of the programme.
Amala told sify: “Palliative care provides specialized medical care for people with serious illnesses. It focuses on providing these patients with relief from the symptoms of pain, depression and stress that they undergo when attacked by a serious illness. The goal is to improve quality of life for both the patient and the family. I am so happy to be a part of this wonderful job that the voluteers are doing and decided to devote my free time with them”
