No sooner he was discharged from the Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore, Rajnikanth chose to call up Tamilnadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa and congratulated her on her massive victory in the recently-concluded Assembly elections.
An official press release from Tamilnadu government said, ' Rajnikanth on his discharge from hospital called up Jayalalithaa and thanked her for enquiries about her health to his wofe (Latha Rrajnikanth). Rajnikanth further conveyed through the phone that Tamilnadu will be now saved thanks to Jayalalithaa assumingthe mantle of Chief Minister'.
Meanwhile, sources say Rajnikanth would be staying at Singapore for few more days and undergo check-ups before he returns to Chennai next month.
